Season Nine - Final Episode - "The Truth"

MULDER: I want to believe that the dead are not lost to us. That they speak to us as part of something greater than us - greater than any alien force. And if you and I are powerless now, I want to believe that if we listen to what's speaking, it can give us the power to save ourselves.

SCULLY: Then we believe the same thing.

Those were the last two lines the T.V. show left us with. Now it is six years later.

Really, how could a movie entitled, "I Want to Believe", deal with anything other than what these two characters want to believe in??? How could it not be an intellectual film that causes viewers to think about the topics presented and the philosophical questions raised. Love, Stem Cell Research, Gay Marriage, Disgraced Religious Figures, Safety vs Freedom, etc., etc., etc.

Think. This is not an easy movie. However, it is an intelligent one.

Krása, přesně o tom to je... Jinak už jsem někde psala že lidé jsou dneska líní přemýšlet o filmu více do hloubky, tady u toho je to vidět extrémně...

Vyjadril tam nieco, co aj mne preblesklo hlavou pri sledovani filmu: FBI sa zachovala ignorantsky. Akonahle zistili, ze ich agentka Monica B. je mrtva, uz sa o dalsie nestarali. Keby nebolo Muldera, ktory riskoval svoj zivot, nikto by nepatral a nikdy nenasiel to druhe unesene dievca a nikto by nezastavil toho ruskeho doktora. A FBI/agent Drumey zlizli vsetku smotanu. Bol to on, kto bol na titulkoch v novinach ako odvaza ruskeho doktora. Ziadne slovo vdaky Mulderovi, ktory skoro prisiel o zivot. FBI (okrem Skinnera) ho dokonca odmietla hladat, ked zufala Scullyova potrebovala pomoc.
Preto dufam, ze v tretom filme sa dockame vitazoslavneho triumfu Muldera, ktory dokaze FBI a celemu svetu, ze mimozemstania naozaj existuju. A ziska si uctu, aka mu pravom patri.

Jakkoli je to smutné, tak myslím, že je to Mulderův osud - být pořád "Spooky". A Scullyové taky - stát při něm za cenu života i smrti, ať si ostatní myslí, co chtějí. To je paradoxně na tom to nejkrásnější. Nejsem si jistá, jestli by případný budoucí triumf, jak říkáš, tohle nezničil.
